MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS REHABILITATION PROGRAM

Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic and progressive disease involving damage to the sheaths of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The symptoms may include numbness, speech impairment and muscular coordination impairment, blurred vision, and severe fatigue.

The Multiple Sclerosis rehabilitation program includes the following:

  • Specialized Internal Medicine care.
  • Medical Interconsultation with neurology specialist
  • Medical Interconsultation with rehabilitation specialist
  • Additional consultation with rehabilitation specialist (2 sessions)
  • 21 Nights of hospitalization. ((The Hospitalization will include accommodation in a private room, nursing care and medical assistance, evaluation and preparation of medical history, as well as three course meals)
  • ALAT Electrocardiogram test
  • Chest X ray
  • Cyturia Glycemia test
  • Creatinine Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) test
  • Quantitative Serology test
  • Venereal Disease Research Laboratory test (VDRL)
  • Stool sample testing
  • Nuclear Magnetic Resonance of skull
  • Electrophoresis of Proteins test
  • Electrophoresis of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)
  • Lipids test
  • IgG, IgA and IgM test
  • Anti-DNA antibodies test
  • Antinuclear antibodies test
  • HLA-D Test
  • Short latency median nerve SSEPs (Somatosensory evoked potentials )
  • Posterior tibial nerve SSEP (Somatosensory evoked potentials )
  • Auditory evoked potentials
  • Magnetic stimulation-motor evoked potential MEPs
  • Visual evoked potentials
  • Poliphysiotherapy (22 sessions)
  • Ozone therapy (15 sessions)

The Multiple Sclerosis program excludes the following:

  • Cost of Biomoduline T (BT) for 6 months of treatment
